  • Does my child have to wear a school uniform?
    We don't have a school uniform. However, children should wear appropriate clothing for school.
  • What are the school hours?
    The regular school week is Monday through Friday. The Campus is open from 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. Drop-off starts at 8:30 a.m. - All classes start at 9:00 a.m. Depending on the child's class and programme, the classes can end at 12:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. Pick time starts at 12:00 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. for Half-day Programme and from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. for Full-day Programme. After School Activities (ASA) run from 2:15 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Note: The schedule of ASA changes every term- Contact us for more info!
  • What is your average 'student: teacher' ratio and class size?
    All classes from Nursery 1 through to K2 are facilitated by A full-time homeroom teacher and a fully qualified teacher assistant(s) in order to get to know every child, tailor activities to their individual needs, bring out the best in them, and encourage greater participation in class.   • Do you have a school bus?
    We don't provide transportation service, but our campus is located in a nice residential neighbourhood in Umalas. Located right next to Pandawa All Suite Hotel, our learning centre is easily accessible by scooter or by car.
  • When does your Academic year start?

  • How many nationalities are represented at Caterpillar School Bali?
    Our children population comprises more than 20 nationalities with no one dominant culture or background.
  • What curriculum do you teach?
    Our curriculum embraces children’s natural curiosity and innate affinity for the environment. We believe that children flourish when their natural sense of wonder, awe and curiosity is encouraged through play and experimentation. Children in the early years benefit from a well-developed holistic curriculum based on the best practices of the early years foundation stage (EYFS), integrated with Finland's education model. Children in the early elementary benefit from Key Stage 1 of England National Curriculum.
  • What does a typical day at Caterpillar School Bali look like?
    A typical day at Caterpillar School Bali is filled with engaging, hands-on, experiential learning, developing children’s academic outcomes. Check our ' Programme Page' to find out more about our programmes and view our sample timetables.
  • Do you offer meals for children?
    We educate and encourage children to develop lifelong healthy eating habits. Therefore, we provide healthy snacks and vegeterian lunch to all children in our learning centre.
  • Will my child learn another language?
    Our new curriculum introduces children to Bahasa language starting from Nursery Level. As we believe basic Bahasa level is necessary for our children to immerse themselves in the Balinese Culture. We also offer other foreign languages through our After School Activities (ASA) such as German, Chinese, French, etc. However, a foreign language class is open only if there is enough demand.
  • Do you offer any extracurricular activities?
    We provide diverse After School Activities (ASA) in academics, music and arts throughout the year for children from Kindergarten to K2. Every term, we update our ASA list, our goal is to have a balanced ASA programme that allows your child to develop their character, acquire new skills, and discover new passions. These ASA are run by our own excellent faculty members.
  • What curriculum do you use?
    Our curriculum is based on the best practices of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), integrated with Finland's Education Model. It has a clear rationale based on values. It promotes challenge, progression, consistency, personalisation and choice in learning for all chidlren.   • Do you offer any other discounts?
    we offer 4 types of discount: Early Bird Discount : Enrolled families who settle the full invoice amount two calendar months prior to school reopening will receive a 5% discount on TUITION FEE. Semester Payment Discount: Parents who decide to pay Semesterly instead of termly will receive a 3% discount on TUITION FEE. Yearly Payment Discount: Parents who decide to pay yearly instead of termly will receive a 8% discount on TUITION FEE. Siblings Discount: Parents with more than one child at the school will be afforded a discount. The discount will be exclusively on TUITION FEE and will work as follows: The second sibling will receive 5% discount on tuition fee, third sibling will receive 10% discount.
  • What are the tuition fees?

  • Do you offer any siblings discounts?
    Parents with more than one child at the school will be afforded a discount. The discount will be exclusively on Tuition Fee and will work as follows: The second sibling will receive 5% discount on tuition fee, third sibling will receive 10% discount.
  • What does Annual Fee include?
    Annual fee includes the cost for maintain buildings, grounds and other facilities. It also includes the fees to cover activities organized by the school to support overall development of the child beyond class room. Example of fees included here are school events, school trips, workshops, etc. The current annual fee is IDR5.000.000- for all classes.
  • What are the joining fees?
    Upon admission, a one‐time mandatory admission fee has to be paid for each child and will be charged upon school entrance, irrespective of the length of school attendance or the time of enrollment. The current admission fee is IDR 3.500.000- for all classes.
  • What do you mean by ' Supply Fee'?
    Supply fee includes study materials, school stationery as well as the overheads associated with running the school. To check our fees structure
  • Are After School Activities (ASA) chargeable ?
    The cost of ASA is not included in the tuition fees and will be charged separately per term. Please contact our office to learn more about ASA fees.

  • What are the required documents for admission?
    All supporting documents must be in English. If any supporting document is not written in English, an English translation is required. 1 copy of the Child’s Passport. 1 copy of the Parent's Passport. Child’s last two years of school report. 1 Copy of the Child's visa. 1 copy of the Child's health record. 1 copy of the Child's health insurance.
  • What are the entry requirements?
    We place children in the correct year group in accordance with British Curriculum guidelines (EYFS & Key Stage 1), as well as academic, social and emotional development. For this reason, new students may be required to complete an appropriate level screener to determine placement and fit.
  • How to apply?
    Complete and submit our online inquiry form. Our Admission Team will contact you through WhatsApp, and schedule a school tour for you. After the school tour, we will arrange a free trial day for your child. Our trial is specially designed to allow prospective children to experience our programme. At the end of the day, you will receive a feedback from our team of educators. After the trial day, our Admission team will review your application and contact you.
